1:5-8 Jesus Christ, the faithful witness…the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, (6) and made us KINGS AND PRIESTS TO HIS GOD AND FATHER, TO Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (7) “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him,”… (8) says THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY.

4:3-8 He who sits on the Throne is like a jasper and a sardias stone; an emerald rainbow surrounds His Throne… (5) From His Throne proceeds lightnings, thundering, and voices (noises, music, choirs)… (6) Before the Throne is a sea of glass, like crystal (mingled with fire)…(8) they do not rest day or night, saying: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, who was and is and is to come!”

4:8-11 They do not rest day or night, saying, “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, who was and is and is to come!” (10) the elders fall down…and worship Him…they cast their crowns before His Throne, saying: (11) “YOU ARE WORTHY, O Lord, TO RECEIVE glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will (pleasure) they exist.”

5:9-10 They sang a new song saying: “YOU ARE WORTHY to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, (10) You have made us kings and priests to our God; we shall reign on the earth.”

5:11-13 Around the Throne are angels, (numbering 10,000 times 10,000)…saying, (12) “WORTHY IS THE LAMB who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (13) Every creature in heaven and earth said: “Blessing and honor and power and might, be to Him who sits on the Throne, and to the lamb, forever and ever!”

7:9-12 The great multitude of all nations… (10) say, “Salvation belongs to our God…and to the Lamb!”(11) The angels…fall before the Throne (12) saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might , be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

15:2-4 On the sea of glass mingled with fire, those who have the victory… (3) say, “Great and marvelous are Your works, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! Just and true are Your ways, O KING OF SAINTS!(4) Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? for You alone are Holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested.”

19:1-7 The great multitude in heaven, say, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the LORD OUR GOD!” (2) For true and righteous are His judgments, (6) “Alleluia! For the LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT REIGNS! (7) “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

19:11-16 He is called Faithful and True, in righteousness He judges and makes war. (12) His eyes are like a flame of fire, on His head are many crowns… (13) His name is called the Word of God. (14) The armies of heaven, follow Him. (15) Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, to strike the nations with the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (16) his name is KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS.

22:16-20 “Jesus, the Bright and Morning Star.” (17) The SPIRIT and the BRIDE say, “COME!” let all who thirst come. (20) (The Lord says) “Surely I am coming quickly.” (the Bride says) Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Introduction to the End Times                                                                                                   Session 2
I.                    The Day of the Lord:  Two Extremes
a.       “For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible: who can endure it?”  (Joel 2:11)
b.      “I will send you Elijah…before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord.”  (Malachi 4:5)
c.       The wheat (believers, good) and the tares/weeds (unbelievers/evil) will grow to mature at the same time.  “Allow both to grow together until the harvest”  (Matt. 13:30)
II.                  Positive Events in the End Times
a.       There are many positive events prophesied in the Word that will occur in the generation the Lord returns.
b.      The gospel will be preached to all nations.  Jesus connected the timing of His return to the preaching of the gospel to all nations.  Mission organizations have joined hands in mission and now project that the gospel will be heard by every people group (6000) on the earth for the first time by 2025.  “Gospel will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, then the end will come.”  (Matt. 24:14)
c.       The greatest revival and outpouring of the Spirit in history will occur in the generation the Lord returns and result in a victorious Church full of His glory and a great harvest of souls.  “It shall come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and daughters will prophesy, You old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions… I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire, and columns of smoke.  The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon into blood BEFORE the great and terrible day of the Lord.” (Joel 2:28-31)  “A great multitude no one could number of all the nations…coming out of the Tribulation.”  (Rev. 7:9, 14)
d.      The salvation of Israel will occur as the Church provokes Israel to jealousy by standing with them in love and operating in the power of God.  (Romans 11:12-15, 25-26)
e.      The worship and prayer movement will operate in great authority and usher in the Coming King Jesus will songs of praise, worship, and asking Him to “Come!”  (Isaiah 24:14-16, 49:11-13, 52:8-10; Rev. 22:17))  “My house shall be a house of prayer” (Matt. 21:13, Is. 56:7) “Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night?  I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly.”  (Luke 18:7-8)
f.        There will be supernatural protection for believers in the end times.  The Lord will again distinguish between His people and protect them like He did in Goshen.  (Ex. 8:22-23, 9:4-6; 10:23; 11:7) “Those who know their God will display strength and take action.  Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many.”  (Daniel 11:32-22)  “Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven.”  (Daniel 12:3) “Do not harm the earth…until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.”  (Rev. 7:3)
g.       Two Witnesses and the Bride operate in authority and partnership with God.  “I will give great authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy…if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies…they have power to shut the heavens so that rain will not fall…they have power to turn the waters into blood.”  (Rev. 11:3-6)
III.                Negative Events in the End Times
a.       Persecution against believers.  There will be an increase of persecution in the generation the Lord returns.  (Dan. 7:21, 8:24, 11;33-35, 12:7; Rev. 6:9-11, 7:9, 9:21, 11:7, 13:7; Matt. 10:21-22, 24:9; Luke 12:4-7, 21:16-19)
b.      Falling away from the faith.  Many churches are seeing a massive exit from the church.  It is estimated over 75% of the youth raised in the church after leaving home stop attending church services or worship/Bible study.  (Matt. 24:9-13; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:3-5; 2 Peter 2:1-3)  “With regard to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him…Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction (antichrist)…so that he takes his seat in the temple of God displaying himself as being God.”  (2 Thess. 2:1-4)
c.       There will be an increase of sin and lawlessness.  (Rev. 14:18, 17:5; Dan. 8:23)  “They did not repent of their murders, sorceries, sexual immortality, or thefts.”  (Rev. 9:21)
d.      The Great Tribulation will be the greatest time of pressure, trial, and difficulty ever seen before on the earth.  “There will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, nor ever shall be.  Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved (physically preserved) but for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.  (Matt. 24:15,21-22)   We will look at this more in the coming sessions:  pressure comes from four sources:  the rage of Satan, the wrath of God, the evil actions of people, and convulsions in nature (storms, earthquakes, etc.)
IV.                Political and Global Events (Signs)
a.        Globalization.  An alarming trend is globalization and the manner in which finances, communication, religion, and geopolitics will converge to a more globally unified expression.  (Rev 17-18)  There will be one-world technology, economics, political cooperation, information, etc.   Global Government (Dan. 2, Ezek. 38, Rev. 13, 17)
b.      Knowledge and Travel. “Many shall run to and fro (travel) and knowledge shall increase (information age)”  (Dan. 12:4)  The internet has allowed knowledge to increase in an unprecedented way.  (knowledge doubles every 18 months)  Scientific advancements are fueling immorality (gender change, abortion, cloning, etc.)
c.        Israel becoming a nation in 1948.  The re-establishing of Israel fulfilled numerous prophesies.  The state of Israel as the center of world controversy will culminate in the end times.  (Zech. 12:1-3; 14:1-3; Luke 21:20-24)
d.      The Abomination of Desolation requires Israel to be in the land with a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.  (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 25:15, 2 Thess. 2:4, Rev. 13:5, 15-18)
e.      World Peace and Safety.  The Antichrist will offer his solutions to the turmoil in the nations.  The Antichrist is first revealed as a man of peace who brings world peace.  “When they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains (Great Tribulation) upon a pregnant woman.”  (1 Thess. 5:3)
f.        The re-establishing of the Hebrew language was prophesied by Zephaniah.  For Israel to speak Hebrew after being out of their homeland for 2000 is a sign and a wonder.  “Then I will restore the peoples a pure language that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord.  (Zeph. 3:9)
g.       The increase of the spirit of fear.  Fear increase for those who do not trust in the Lord and have faith in His nature as a GOOD FATHER.  “Men will faint from fear at the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world.”  (Luke 21:26)

Introduction to the End Times                                                                                                              Session 1

I.                 Why Study the End Time?

a.      Jesus commands us watch and pray and stay alert and know the times in which we are living.  Jesus and Paul emphasized the ability to know the signs and live prepared.

                                                    i.     “When you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door…this generation will not pass away until all these things take place (Jesus return) (Matt. 24:33-34)

ii.     Paul was only with the Thessalonians three weeks (Acts 17:2) and taught in length on Jesus’ return and the antichrist. “Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things” (2 Thess. 2:5)

iii.     Believers are called to have understanding and instruct others.  “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.  While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’  Then destruction will come upon them suddenly.  But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are sons of light…let us not sleep as others do.”  (1 Thess. 5:2-5)  “The people who know their God will display strength and take action.  Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many.”  (Daniel  11:32-33)

b.      It awakens the Church to urgency and motivates her to live prepared and it strengthens her confidence in God’s sovereignty by knowing that He is in control.

c.      It is the most talked about generation (time period) in the Bible.  Over 150 chapters in the Bible have Jesus return as its theme.

d.      It prepares the Church to intercede and participate in the coming revival and be victorious (over comers)   in love and power in the most dramatic time in human history.

e.      It awakens love in our hearts for our Bridegroom King Jesus to return to the earth and establish His reign.  We fall more in love with Him!

II.                The Day of the Lord

a.      The “Day of the Lord” as referred to in scripture speaks of the years, months, and days leading up to the return of Jesus.  The “Day of the Lord” also speaks of the final hours and minutes when He appears in the sky, coming on a cloud with His angels and saints.

III.              Watch and Pray

a.      Watch   -   The beginning of birth pangs: 12 signs  (Matt. 24, Mark 13, Luke 21)

                                                    i.     “Jesus…said to them:  “Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am Christ’, and will deceive many.  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.  See that you are not troubled…the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these things are the beginning of birth pangs.”  (Matt. 24:4-8)

ii.     “When you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified…There will be great earthquakes…famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.  Before all these things, they will persecute you…You will be betrayed even by parents and relatives and friends…But not a hair of your head shall be lost.  (Luke 21:9-18)

iii.     The Church will look up and lift their heads in encouragement knowing Jesus is coming soon.  “When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near…Look at the fig tree, when they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.  So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.”  (Luke 21:28-31)

iv.     Jesus rebukes the people for being able to read weather signs while being unable to interpret the prophetic signs of His first coming.  “Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is.  And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is.  Hypocrites!  You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?”  (Luke 12:54-56)

b.      Pray

                                                    i.     The Spirit is awakening His Bride to establish prayer and worship to grow her into her identity and authority to be able to stand courageous in the midst of the most difficult times in human history.

1.      In 1985 there were 20 (24 hours/ day) houses of prayer found in the world.  Today, there are over 200,000 houses of prayer.  The Spirit is awakening intercession and worship.  God governs the universe in intimate partnership with His people through intercession.  The majesty and mystery of intercession is seen foremost in Jesus’ relationship with the Father.  “He (Jesus) always lives to make intercession for them.”  (Heb. 7:25)  “I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.”  (Ezek. 22:30)  “If my people”….(2 Chron. 14:7)

2.      He inhabits the praises of His people.  The prayer and worship movement creates an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to come and manifest His presence corporately.  While we lift our voices, meditate in His word, and worship Him, He speaks opens our hearts to His ways.  “He (Holy Spirit) will not speak on His own, but what He hears, He will speak and He will reveal to you what is to come.”  (John 16:13)

3.      Jesus grants authority to His people and they participate with Jesus in the End Time Events.  “I will grant authority to my two witnesses…these will have power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them to blood and to strike the earth with every plague.”  (Rev. 11:3-6)

4.      Jesus is returning to His bride as they sing and call for Him to return.  “The Spirit and Bride say, ‘Come’.”  (Rev. 22:17)

(Acts 4:29-31)

Release of God’s promise to be endued with power for all who tarry (labor in prayer) for breakthrough
49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high, 50…He lifted up His hands and blessed them…(Lk. 24:49-50)

For the Lord to release His zeal for His people and for His manifest Presence to shake all that resists Him
15 Look down..and see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Where are (the manifestations of) Your zeal and Your strength, the yearning of Your heart and Your mercies toward me? 16…You, O Lord, are our Father; Our Redeemer from Everlasting in Your name. 64:1 Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That you would come down (manifest Your power)! That the mountains (obstacles) might shake at Your presence—2 as fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil –to make Your name known to Your adversaries (sin, sickness, Satan) that the nations may tremble at Your presence!3 When You did awesome things for which we did not look (expect)4 Since the beginning of the world men have not heard.…nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him 5 You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways. (Isa. 63:15-16; 64:1-7)

For the release of God’s promise to pour out His Spirit and release dreams, visions and prophecy
17 In the last days, says God,  that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. 18 On My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood, fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21 Whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.  (Acts 2:17-21)
Prayer for Israel to be saved and the release of the prophetic anointing, miracles and righteousness
1 My heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. (Rom. 10:1)
26 All Israel will be saved…The Deliverer
(Jesus) will come out of Zion. He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27 For this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins. (Rom. 11:26-27)
1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace
(or be silent: release a prophetic spirit), and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest (or I will not be inactive: release power), UNTIL her righteousness (in all heart issues) goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns (ministry to others). (Isa. 62:1)
